Going to be playing my first live show in quite a long time on Friday night. The set list will be mostly songfight songs. I'm pretty excited. I wish there were songfighters who lived near Indianapolis.

Congrats on your show! Two songs isn't unusual for a busy/popular open mic. Less busy ones might give you 15 minutes.

Btw, mind if I move this thread into the "Concerts and Events" topic, since the "Song Fight! Live" topic is generally about the annual event and other more Song Fight! specific events?

The open mic I play at regularly only gives us one song each. I prefer it that way. You can get a lot of crap at open mics.

Is it a good crowd?

I have been to open mics where all these idiots get up and sing Eagles songs...and they suck.

The one I go to now though is awesome. It is only once a month and only one song each - but we get a big crowd, the pub is always packed, and it's ORIGINALS ONLY! I love it.

The guy who runs it even does a CD every year of people who play. I have just finished in the local recording studio doing my contribution to this years CD
