In. A nice, slow, dumb ear bleeder. If I got tossed this week, I assume full responsibility. My duetist, Arthuroni Spumoni, will be clear of any crimes. On this song, anyway. NUR EIN!!!!!!
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Handed in my entry. At least I put some time and effort into it this time, thanks to the duet challenge.

My collaborator cut it close, but I've got the guest contribution in hand, and I'll be in.

Re: Nur Ein VI: Round Three
Alright I'm ready for the next title. I have guests next weekend so if I don't have this done by Thursday, I'm out.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: Nur Ein VI: Round Three
Alright, I just mailed my track in.
My collaborator has asked me to keep his identity secret, so "Mister Skull Maven" is a fake name. The e-mail I sent Niveous did contain the collaborator's real name, with instructions not to share it. The rest of you will just have to take me at my word when I say: I could not play guitar like that, even if I wanted to. *phew!*

I'm out. I had a decent idea but the implementation wasn't working well enough and I procrastinated too much to pull it together on time. Cest La vie...

Sad to see you go, Glen, but at least that gives me some more hope for my own chances this round...
Anyway, the bell just rang. Niveous, will the files be uploaded before bedtime tonight, you think?

Re: Nur Ein VI: Round Three
I did that everyday. I also went through several collaborator possibilities. This has been a hellish round and a hellish week (hence my absence, as I would have done nothing but whine). I ended up relying on my songwriting partner, who came through last minute. I used the 16th and a half song. It's a semi-solid, and it felt good to write. I'll recut it for sure.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Has anyone ever scrapped their song on the last day and started a new one from scratch? I'm going to in about 20 minutes if I don't get inspired by what I have. The worst part is that my collabinator has a small window of time this fine day.

I did review you last round as well, but I never got my shit together and had three more to go so I didn't post.
It's been fun seeing you around.

I'm in. All I had was a groovin' guitar riff and a serial killer idea by Saturday. I almost gave up when nothing was making me hard. Then I got drunk and BAM...INSPIRATION. It's a drunk mix and alcoholic lyrics. But it grooves and has a duet. So........
......yeah.
......yeah.

Re: Nur Ein VI: Round Three
I doubt that Ross. You're smooth, I'm prickly.
I used the sensitive setting on my condenser instead of the 10db drop down that I usually use. It made my k sounds very noticeable, lol. I didn't have time to clean them up.
Oh, and my chorus doesn't sound like it flows with the verses perfectly because it's ahead of it's time. In twenty years, it'll be all the rage..........THE RAGE!.....ALL OF IT!
