Re: Songfight App
I've been using iDownloader on my iPhone and it's been great to manage transient MP3s like SF and Nur Ein. Downloads all links on a page, which begs the question, can you view a posting here on its own page, or only the thread? I can't find a link.

Re: Songfight App
If you go to the "Review This Week's Fight" link, you might get something useful for an iDownloader, I think. I embed all the fight links in the page so they can be picked up by the Yahoo Web Player.

Re: Songfight App
Brilliant...for the current fight, though not for Nur Ein and the archive
It can ignore dupes. I think.

Re: Songfight App
Why can't you just go to the actual page on songfight.org to use iDownload?

Re: Songfight App
I think Roy was asking about downloading e.g. all entries for a round of Nur Ein, which get put into a single post, but, as far as he and I know, there is no way to view a single isolated post on the boards, out of the context of its thread. (Posts have direct links, yes, but those take you to the post in context in its thread, not the post in isolation.) This is problematic for e.g. Nur Ein because the posts with the songs for each round are all in the same thread, so, his app probably could easily download all Nur Ein VIII entries pretty easily, but can't easily just download the mp3s for e.g. Nur Ein VIII Round 5.
Roy, have you tried MG's wiki pages for the Nur Ein Rounds? Those would probably work for what you want, but I don't know if/when those get updated relative to when the songs get posted to the boards.

Re: Songfight App
Point for Sam! Yes, I could easily download 83 songs from the current Nur Ein.
Yes, the wiki lags a bit. It's no biggie, I just have to click each one and there're fewer every week

Re: Songfight App
A couple updates:
* Yes, I'm still working on the song fight app - I just haven't had time to add a couple things and resubmit it
* The Nur Ein wiki is in a state of transition to a proper database so I can integrate it with the app.
As for "when does it get updated", it usually gets updated as soon as possible since I live on my computer. That said, with the new system the links don't show until there are rankings for that round. I need to change that.

If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: Songfight App
MG, any updates on the iOS app?
In the meantime the Jukebox should be a lot more usable on phones and tablets these days.
