We are going to use a modified PHP board that eliminates the two designations "Administrator" and "Moderator".
We will use three designations to begin with:
"President" "Secretary" and "Treasurer".
We want to start with 100 members who will share the cost equally.
The cost will be about $3 to each member.
Therefore: The members will own the community
and be responsible for the administration.
Members will elect the officers to limited terms.
After the term is completed, those officers will resume the staus of "member" as a new generation of members and leaders are elected.
The objectives of the community will be stated in the constitution or bylaws.
Then the site can be transferred from generation to generation with it's original objectives intact or whatever amendments the new generation of members may make to the objectives.
The original charter members will not own the site. They can go on a leave of absence or quit altogether as the democratic form will keep it going.
Every new generation of dues paying members will assume all the rights and responsibilities of owners.

So Dorky.
So 100 people share the cost instead of 2.. and those 100 make the rules... and what happens to people who join the group after 100?
Does this mean I get to be OTM on that forum as I will most likely not be one of your chosen 100?
How do you pick the 100?
More importantly, when are you handing out the kool-aid?
