JingleSkirmish
I know it's going to be a long way off at this point, after OTRCF, YRCF, and H&OCF. But I wanted to try to claim the next side fight. I won't start it up until the other three are done, in a couple months, or whenever the hell it may be.
Anyway, the idea is "JingleFight". I will pick some random and horrible product and the participants will have a fairly short period of time (a weekend?) to write a 30-60 second jingle for said awful product. If I am motivated enough I may decide to offer 1 unit of whatever the product is as the prize for the best jingle, or maybe something good, who knows...
This was inspired by a friend, who recently discovered a truly nasty sounding liquor called "Dooley's", a mixture of vodka with cream and toffee flavor. After pondering it for a while, he decided the only people who would drink it would be alcoholics, who needed to booze up their morning coffee when hungover. Anyway, he wrote a jingle for it that cracked me up.
I'm open to suggestions for the product. If you have some good ideas, please PM them to me. Also, I can probably offer hosting for this if people need it.
And since the time investment is going to be relatively low this could perhaps be an occasionally recurring side fight, too. Or maybe if lots of people want to participate we can do multiple rounds with elimination until there is one winner or something.
Anybody interested?

And don't forget the GoM.Lunkhead wrote:I know it's going to be a long way off at this point, after OTRCF, YRCF, and H&OCF.

You would have everybody making a jingle for the same product, or a different product for each participant?

If anybody is still interested:
JingleSkirmish Number 1
Due date: Monday, December 18th, roughly
Product: Jimmy Dean Chocolate Chip Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick
http://www.junkfoodblog.com/2006/07/jim ... cakes.html
Post or PM me a link to your short (maximum of 60 seconds) jingle for the above heinous product. It could be a radio spot, music/audio for a TV commercial, a whole video if you're ambitious, etc. I feel like I should have more stringent rules, but I can't think of any right now. If enough people enter I'll start a new thread with a poll for folks to vote on the best jingle.
As the junk food blog says, "nuke 'em and puke 'em", folks.

Fun idea, but just for semantics' sake - what makes this a skirmish if fighters havea week. Isn't Skirmish a term usually used for very short (like 1 hour) fights?

YAY! Skirmishes always fit easy in my schedule.
It is LESS THAN THE DEFAULT WEEK we usually get for fights & has a 60 SECOND LENGTH LIMIT, sounds pretty 'skirmishy' to me!
