I entered a couple of songs in the Australian Songwriters Association's National Contest this year.
Just got an email telling me that my Songfight! entry "Convalesence"(renamed for the competition - "A Day At Home With Dad") has been named a finalist in the Best Childrens Song category!
Sadly though - my collaboration with Bill Heuristics (I wrote new music for his song "Fight The Sea"), did not progress any further in the 'Indie Rock' category. Sorry Bill - it was worth a shot.
