Cubasis
Fish Fillet series of VSTs
ReBirth (on the earlier stuff)
ReCycle (once in a blue moon)
Guitars, basses, midi keys, electronic drumset, harmonicas, the rare concertina appearance, organ...

...and coming soon, a freakin' flute (once I learn fingerings, breathing, armbature (sp?), etc.)

Though that's all not really software, but as the topic starter broke his/her own rule, why not?

Typically, cakewalk.

I just started using Cubase SX and Fruity Loops. Don't even know what version. That's how little I've opened them. But they are all very nifty programs.

Cubase. Very simple cubase. I recently started multitracking, fear me.

However, my first ever SongFight song was recorded on Windows Sound Recorder. It was awesome.
Songfighter since back in the day.

for recording, on Mac OSX 10.3: Cubase 1.0 w/ Reason or Digital Performer 4.12 w/ Reason or Garageband...depending on my mood...

for mastering, finalizing, or what have you: Peak G4

final MP3 conversion: iTunes

Hey - can you describe your mastering techniques using Peak?

And I hope you use the Lame plugin to iTunes for MP3s.
