Septemberian

Post by Niveous »

Hey everyone,

If you have been on the boards for a long time then you know that I have tried a couple of times to get off a Science Fiction/Fantasy writing project. The projects have had varying degrees of success and many more degrees of failure. So I have been very wary when it comes to Septemberian, the webserial that I have been writing. Finally I have gotten to a point (10 Chapters in) that I feel confident about the project and ready to release it on to the web.

I'm currently working on the best way to present the story and I feel the need to have some illustration. The world is becoming more apt to read longer things on computer screens but still, it's good to break up the monotony with something visual. Plus illustrations would help put faces to the characters. But I have no drawing skill. So I'm seeking someone who would be interested in doing some art for me.

Also, since the webserial will be on my website, newzeromusic.com , I feel the need that there's some kind of music attached to the project. Plus, the whole thing was written while listening to music so music has always been a part of the project. So I was thinking...a theme song. Anyone interested in doing that for me?

I can't give you anything financially in return but I will promote the hell out of your good work and give you all the credit you deserve for helping me. So any takers?

Sounds like a sidefight to me! Can you give us a sneak peak of enough that we can get an idea what the theme song should be about???

Here's the concept without saying too much:

Septemberian is the story of Janine Hallenbek. Janine thought that she lead a mundane life with going to college, working as a waitress and taking care of her mom. Then after a tragic incident, she learned her life has been a lie. Now Janine is struggling with her new life as an agent of a group called The Communion. The Communion's job is to keeps the balance between the humans and other creatures of the world from going awry. And she is their super-soldier, the Septemberian, with a power that she neither wants nor can fully control.

Too vague?

Yeah, that's sufficient. If I was any good at writing sci-fi theme songs, I'd have all my ducks lined up :-)

Thanks,
Charles

That's supposed to be me?

1. I have killer sideburns. You can't draw me without them.
2. A purple shirt? Thems fightin words.
