Re: Streams and media from Song Fight Live: Weird & Wired
Due to the time limit for a Hangout On Air, I've had to break it in two. I'll post the link for the second live stream tonight as soon as it's ready.

There's a limit to the length of live streams on Youtube, so I've split it into two. The link for the second part of tonight's show is here: http://youtu.be/ddvkeAdy8lo

Re: Streams and media from Song Fight Live: Weird & Wired
Two record labels filed claims against me because of the music that our sound guy ran between sets last night. Consequently, Google chose to mute the audio on part 1 of last night's stream - all of it. I'm working on getting this fixed. In the meantime, I apologize for the inconvenience to anyone who wants to watch the show.
Edit: Here's the Youtube help page for this process. I've followed all the steps, and it looks like it'll work, it's just taking a long time to process. If this doesn't work, they will at least allow me to download the raw video file, and I'll split the whole performance up into individual songs, then upload those. Again, I appreciate your patience in this matter.

Ugh. Would be nice if they could selectively mute. Or, can they be edited in the YouTube editor to remove the transitions?

Yes, that's what they're doing right now, theoretically. But since the source video is three hours long, it will take a long time to process the video with the new audio track. Don't worry; there will absolutely be a permanent record of the show.

As of the time of this writing, the audio appears to have been restored. I haven't checked the whole 3-hour file yet, so let me know if you spot a section that should have music but doesn't.

Re: Streams and media from Song Fight Live: Weird & Wired
Since media is slowly pouring in, isn't this about the time where we usually post up setlists. Here's mine
Niveous:
God's Thumb (BLT f/ Paco, lyrics by Niv)
Woebegone
Ellis Island (XTRG)
I Don't Believe YOu
Cute Boots
Eat Your Hair
Mr. Nakazawa's Book of Surprises:
Experiments in Living
It's About Time
Isle Dauphine
And while I'm here, I wanna give a huge thank you to my band on Friday. Mike L., thank you so much for being my guitarist. You did an amazing job. Roy, you did great things with adding bass to the bassless. Thank you. And Den, you added the odd bits that the set needed and you're always a joy to work with. I can't say thank you enough to all three of you.
Also to Jon and Geoff, you two were such great hosts. Thanks for your hospitality, generousity and all the work you put into the show.

Re: Streams and media from Song Fight Live: Weird & Wired
Where are the PHOTOS? Well, I'll drop what I've got here. If you're friends with me on Facebook, start tagging people you know so they can see themselves. These are all in my '2013 - Back in Texas' album.
If you would like larger versions of any of these photos, erase the 'l' just before the '.jpg' in the image url, and you'll get a larger image. If you would like the full-resolution version, we can work something out via pm. The full-size images can print to poster size easily.
*I am a professional photographer, but these images are free because y'all are my friends, and I was pretty hammered when I took these. Feel free to use these photos on your websites, albums, etc., but credit me whenever possible, and maybe send me a link so I can see what neat stuff you've done with my photos. If you're interested in getting some serious photo/video/music recording done, I'll be working in the Houston area around October at Edgewater Studios. Thanks!
**I'm doing a ton of travel in the next two weeks, so I likely won't answer pm's and emails. I'm off to Ireland in 6 hours!
Full album (19 photos): Songfight! Live 2013

My girlfriend Vita was walking around all of both nights with her giant DSLR camera, and she got some really good ones. Here's the Flickr album she created for night two. She'll be uploading the night one photos at some later time.
